The Forma
Immaculatae
Thirty-four days. One day at a time. Each morning, an email arrives — a passage from Maximilian Kolbe's own writings, a reflection, something small and concrete to carry into the day, and the prayer that holds everything together.
By the end you will have been formed — not in a doctrine, but in a relationship. With her. And through her, with her Son.
You do not need to be ready. She meets you where you are. That is what she has always done.
- A passage from Kolbe's authenticated writings
- A theological reflection — brief enough to pray, deep enough to return to
- One small, concrete practice for the day
- The ejaculation — the prayer that contains the whole program
The 33 days of preparation — one for each year of Our Lord's life — lead to the act of total consecration on Day 34. That day falls best on a Marian feast. Begin on the right date and she receives the act on her own ground.
She Is a Living Being Who Loves You
— St. Maximilian Kolbe
The Forma Immaculatae begins here — not with a doctrine, not with a program, but with a fact: she is alive. She is not a historical figure or a theological category or a devotional custom. She is a Person, and she is present, and she is paying attention to you specifically.
This is the conviction that organized Kolbe's entire life and ultimately his death. Not a pious sentiment — a fact he staked everything on. The woman who said fiat at the Annunciation, who stood at the foot of the Cross, who was assumed body and soul into glory, who reigns and intercedes and acts in the lives of souls who do not yet know her name — she is alive, and she loves you, and she has been working in your life for longer than you know.
The first day of the Forma asks only one thing: receive that. Not believe it fully — you may not be able to yet. Simply hold it as a possibility and carry it through the day. Notice if anything changes.
O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee, and for all who do not have recourse to thee, especially the enemies of the Church and those recommended to thee.
Your email is used only to deliver the Forma. It will never be shared or sold. You may stop at any time.
